  • “The girl's participation in the Regional Youth Orchestra as members of the Northern Rivers Conservatorium has really taken their playing to the next level. Being exposed to committed, talented players from all over the state has definitely raised the bar and given them experiences they will never forget.”

    Alex O’Reilly, Parent
  • “The Con is my second home. The teachers and staff are always 100% supportive and the ensembles program is a great way to meet new friends and play music.”

    Tilly Jones, Composer / Student
  • “Studying at the Northern Rivers Conservatorium has been a highlight of my children's week going on 13 years now. Through floods and fires and covid, the Con was still a major part of their community life and helped inspire them to continue playing and working towards their goals, no matter the obstacles. We’ve been so grateful to have access to such a high-quality musical education for our children, even though we live rurally. ”

    Tara Luca, Parent
  • “It is a joy to develop musical skills with students of all ages. To see each one of them grow musically and then develop further in the ensembles program is very satisfying.”

Michael McCabe, Strings Tutor / Chamber Strings Conductor
  • “All research regarding the study of music states young people develop their cognitive skills faster through learning a musical instrument. Some even say: music makes you smarter!”

    David O’Meara, Brass Tutor
  • “Singing is one of life’s joys, and something everyone can learn to do. It’s wonderful to see students relax and build trust in their instrument through learning how to listen more effectively, learning how their voice works and how to use it with more ease and confidence.”

    Imogen Wolf, Vocal Tutor
