The Northern Rivers Conservatorium invites you to experience the Northern Rivers Youth Orchestra (NRYO) 2025 Finale Concerta celebration of creativity, collaboration, and musical excellence.

Taking place on Thursday 10 July at 6:30 PM in the Whitebrook Theatre at Southern Cross University, this special event brings together over 60 young musicians from across the region for a joyful and powerful evening of orchestral performance.

Conducted by Sonya Lopes, assistant conductor Nic Campbell and directed by Michael McCabe, the concert marks the culmination of three intensive days of orchestral workshops. The program features a vibrant mix of jazz-influenced, Latin, classical, and cinematic works, including music by Leroy Anderson, Louis Armstrong, George Gershwin, Respighi, Dvořák, and Brahms.

This year, the NRYO is proud to host nine Buddies from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and two production interns from the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, providing invaluable mentorship and production support.

The Northern Rivers Conservatorium acknowledges the generous support of our partners: Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Sydney Conservatorium of Music, and Southern Cross University, and we thank the Harmony Fund for their sponsorship.
