A MESSAGE FROM THE BOARD AND MANAGEMENT OF THE NORTHERN RIVERS CONSERVATORIUM
The Management and Board of the Northern Rivers Conservatorium have worked together on a plan for a phased to return to face-to-face teaching for individual tuition from Week 8 (June 15) of this term. This is great news! We know that many of you are very keen to return to face-to-face tuition and our teachers are looking forward to the same.
It’s been very quiet here without you and the music over the past couple of months and it will be wonderful to have you in the building again. We thank you for your support of our teachers and online lessons during this period of isolation. Thanks must also go to our wonderful teachers. This really lovely combined effort of teachers and students is very heart warming.
As we transition back to face-to-face teaching onsite, it’s important that we all make our best contribution to keeping each other safe. To this end, the Northern Rivers Conservatorium has developed guidelines:
- to ensure the safety of all NRC personnel;
- which adhere to advice from the NSW State & Australian Federal Governments, NSW Department of Health, NSW Department of Education and Safework NSW;
- are informed by a thorough risk assessment undertaken by the Management and Board of NRC;
- which operate in conjunction with the NRC Pandemic Policy.
A copy of these guidelines have been emailed to each student and family. It is important that you read and adhere to these guidelines. If you have any questions regarding these guidelines, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
To have our lovely Con filled with music again is going to be wonderful.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT RETURNING TO MUSIC TUITION ONSITE
Who is allowed to come inside the building?
Only students, teachers and admin staff are permitted inside the building.
Can Mum or Dad come inside the building?
Parents or caregivers will need to seek written permission at least one day prior to the lesson to enter the building. This written permission must be presented to the door person on arrival. Please contact email@example.com
Will there be social distancing and hygiene protocols in place?
Yes. We are asking everyone inside the building to maintain social distancing of at least 1.5m. Hand sanitiser is in place in the public spaces and everyone will be asked to sanitise their hands on entering the building and then before each lesson. Teachers will be supplied with sanitising materials for the door handles and flat surfaces inside their teaching studios which will be sanitised between each lesson. There will also be additional sanitising of public spaces throughout each afternoon.

Not yet, however reception and admin staff are available by phone 6621 2266 or email firstname.lastname@example.org until further notice.
How do I gain access to the building?
There is one clearly marked entrance and one clearly marked exit both at the rear of the building directly adjacent to the car park.

Unfortunately, not at this time. Students are asked to arrive no sooner than 5 minutes before their lesson is due to commence and will be required to leave the building as soon as their lesson is over.

Absolutely yes, if you would prefer to maintain your music tuition online, please let your teacher know.
