Music in Schools
We offer a number of dynamic music programs that can complement and enhance existing music programs in schools. Our locally-based teachers are qualified, talented, and dedicated, offering students a high quality and inspiring musical experience.
Our Music in Schools program exists to provide students with access to quality music education with conservatorium tutors during school hours at their school. Our professionally qualified and dedicated tutors provide one on one, small group, and ensemble tuition, in response to the particular needs of the school community.Read our Music Education Statement
Individual tuition in our Music in Schools program means the music teacher works directly with the student to identify and work towards their own personal learning goals during weekly thirty minute lessons. Small group lessons are a way to reduce the cost of lessons by sharing the time slot with other students. Learning in a group suits some students well, however the amount of individual attention in a thirty minute lesson is discernibly less than in an individual lesson.
Ensembles and Bands
Ensembles and bands are a fantastic way to consolidate musicianship skills such as listening, playing together in time, and enjoying the wonderful social aspect of music. The conservatorium can work with your school to determine what kind of ensemble is best for your students, tailoring a program that meets syllabus outcomes for any stage.
Small pop ensembles, concert bands, string ensembles, and recorder groups are just some of the kinds of ensembles your school might like to work towards. Some of these ensembles require separate individual instrumental tuition, where others can be facilitated as a group lesson. Please contact the conservatorium to talk about your students’ needs.
We provide expert tuition in many styles from classical to contemporary music:
- Electric Bass
- Double Bass
- Drum Band
- School Band.
