A message from the Board and Management of the Northern Rivers Conservatorium
The Board of the Northern Rivers Conservatorium extends its best wishes to the Conservatorium community, and indeed our regional community. The current situation is impacting us all in unique ways but we firmly believe we’re in this together. Music and music education is a powerful means of building and maintaining community, connection and well-being.
We are committed to the ongoing delivery of music education, mitigation against loss of income for teaching staff (many of whom are also working musicians) and maintaining the ongoing financial health of the Northern Rivers Conservatorium.
The Conservatorium will cease all onsite tuition on Friday 27th March and our building will be closed to the public and students until further notice. We have undertaken this decision in order to make our best contribution to community safety at this time.
From Monday 30th March, ALL individual tuition will take place via online methods.
We have been transitioning to this delivery over the past week and are very impressed by the adaptability and flexibility of our teachers and the positive uptake from students. Any current or prospective students who are facing barriers to participating in online tuition, please reach out – we’d love to be able to help you.
Hopefully we’ll see each other in person before too long. In the meantime our admin team are just a phone call or email away, our teachers are still available and we will continue to take new enrolments.
