The Idea of North are making an early return to beautiful Lismore for a one-off public singing workshop and concert, but this time with an international treat.

GROOVE SESSIONS CONCERT – 7pm Saturday 10 June @ Lismore City Hall

One of the world’s best vocal percussionists, Kai Kitamura from Japan, will be joining the fabulous four for this wonderful day and evening of singing. Kai swallowed an entire acoustic drum kit when he was four years old, and has been making the most of that incident ever since, creating rhythms, beats and sound effects so realistic that closing your eyes will simply produce images in your head of someone playing the actual drums. His incredible musicianship is a wonderful marriage with that of The Idea of North, and together they have created a show that will not be easily forgotten. Don’t miss this rare occasion to experience the magic and wonder of these (now) five voices as they present beautiful, funky, hilarious and moving music for as many of we northern NSWelsh people as can make it along. Come and be moved like you wouldn’t imagine is possible through listening to voices alone!
